There were a ton of items donated for the auction and as the name suggests, they were trash to treasure. You found them repainted, repurposed, redesigned...you get the picture.
Held at the Victorian Lace Inn in St. Charles, MN, Sharon Vreeman, proprietor, started ithis event in honor of those who have had breast cancer.  Sharon herself is a breast cancer survivor.
Under the the big tent, there must have been 50 men and women who attended.  It was a great turnout!
We endulged in a wine tasting, featuring wines from local Minnesota vineyards.
And the Pfarkel sisters, Sharon, Diane and Janelle, whipped up some mighty tastey hor devours for all to enjoy.
And then there was the heavy metal music we listened to...just kiddin....
Actually we were entertained by the Bandanas, a musical group comprised of three sisters, Barb, Bev and Rosie.  Them gals are mighty entertainin!
Here are some of the attendees, waiting for them to uncork those wine bottles and start serving some food!
Sharon is ready to get things started.  Let the bidding begin!
Our beloved auctioneer for the event was St. Charles own, Laura, owner of Gathering and Gifts.  She is all too aware of how worthy this event is and is battling breast cancer herself.
And were off!
Cheers to another successful Trash to Treasures Charity Event.  Great job, gals!

This past weekend Sue and I were privileged to attend the Pfarkel Sisters' Trash to Treasure Charity Auction and Wine Tasting in St. Charles, MN, a quaint little town southeast of Rochester.  Held at Sharon Vreeman's Victorian Lace Inn, this 7th Annual event hopes to raise awareness and provide support to those with breast cancer.  Many of the events organizers are themselves breast cancer survivors, so it was near and dear to their hearts.

The event turned out to be a great time and a huge success. And the item I took home?  That little pal Ms. Susie Q threw together.  I know, I know.  I could have bought it at the garage sale.  But what better way to donate to such a great cause.  Thanks, Sue!  Here's a little taste of what we experienced!
