FLEUR-DE-LIS"
October 28th, 2008 in member junkI drew the Fleur-de-lis and cut it out of scrap wood. My husband said it was too fat so he cut a thinner version which is the 2nd one. The pale green one is a mosaic using kitchen tiles from the 1950's. I just broke up the tiles that I got from my neighbor when he remodeled his kitchen. I added acrylic paint the same color as the tiles to the grout. It gives it a different look then if I had used white grout. The second Fleur-de-lis has sea shells glued on. While the glue was wet I poured on beach sand that I brought home from the beach a long time ago.

I snipped the corner off the baggie and applied it in between the tile pieces. Now I just buy the plain white grout in a tub from the hardware store and make it any color I want. Posted: 9:29 pm on October 28th
