I wanted to make some Ivy Topiaries this year.  So I spent a serious amount of time pricing frames.  Ouch! Those buggers are expensive!  So I decided to make my own...out of coat hangers!  I got a box of metal coat hangers from my mom after her annual yardsale.  I used three hangers per a frame (2 for the ball and one for the stand).  It took a lot of banging with a hammer over a large tree limb(that my husband had cut for camping firewood) to get the rounded shape then I wired the top and bottoms together, and Viola!  A topiary for no cost at all!  I haven't tried different shapes yet, but I have a few thoughts for next season!
