from hitching post to bookcase
October 28th, 2008 in member junkWhen I was a little girl, my sisters and I would sit on the hitching post at my grandma's ranch and put rope through the horse's ring on the hitching post final. We would pretend we were riding a horse. After she died I ended up with one of the two finals. I had my son-in-love weld a metal tube to a square metal base and sliped the head over it. (The inside is hollow). It is now a bookend in a bookcase in my living room. When ever I look at it, it reminds me of her and all the great times I had at her ranch.
