Found this discarded clock case on the trash curb. It was brown walnut color and stained from being left in the rain. Was empty but still had glass enclosure on sides and front. (No clock inside). I'm currently painting it a cottage white and then detailing it with various craft paints. I took out (actually I broke when moving it) the front glass and used scraps of fabric remnants from a fabric decorator's book to fill in the glass area. I'll either find a pretty shabby chic plate to go in the top or another clock to replace the missing one. Lastly, I will cut a large hole in the wood inside shelf. My broom stick will fit in there and I can hide my cleaning supplies, dusting spray, rags, dustpan, etc. in the drawer below and the remaining shelf. Now I"ve got a functional and shabby chic broom closet. I'll post pictures when it's finally finished!
