 Look what happens when two cheap pieces get all gussied up and find each other. A pair that was meant to be.
A very hot, hazy day does not make for great picture taking, but this is a before shot of the a very ricketty little table. Cute, but a little rough in places...a bit of a plain Jane. It came from Goodwill for the outlandish price of $3.
This is the before chair. Same hazy, hot day. Tattered seat and a bit of a flaky Joe in places. I found it at the church thrift store for $ 2. I think I bought it to compensate for the wonderful, old wicker daybed I missed by seconds. That bed would have been wonderful on my porch...it was a full size for $25. Thanks, I needed to tell someone...I am still pineing for that bed.
The chair...newly upholstered seat and painted the sweet blue from an *OOPS* paint can found at the hardware store. We have a Home Decor store that sells upholstery samples...4/1.00...they are huge squares...a small part of one was used to cover the seat.
A ricketty table no more. Painted with the same blue *OOPS* paint used on the chair. I think she is ready to do some stepping out. DREAM is painted on the center top.

First came the paint and the upholstery fabric, only to be sitting around for months waiting to be called to duty. Then a chair and a table from different parts of town, neither aware of the other, or  that they were destined to be joined. After a little gussieing up the table says it all...what a "DREAM"!


It really was a cheap date...total around $7...not bad for a plain jane and a flaky joe.
