I purchased seven 1965 horse show ribbons for $0.99. (Right in my price range!) I found two oval, wood picture frames at a garage sale for $1 each. I spray painted them white and then rubbed on Minwax wood stain to glaze them. I used the cardboard photo backer on the frames to hot glue batting and plain ecru cotton duck onto. Then I added some old millinery flowers (that I've had for about 10 years) to the top of each frame with a dab of hot glue. Pinned on the show ribbons and had some nice "shadow boxes"---well, "shadow ovals"--- for my daughter's room.
