Rustic gate = happy towels

The beautiful old authentic barn gate was left in its natural state for this easy project.
A mix of whatever was on hand became the towel hooks. I dont even know what this thing is... a bedframe something or other perhaps? No matter. If its rusty metal, its all good.
This is actually the backside of the gate. If you spin it around, it wears a distressed red patina for when the distressed red patina mood hits of course.  I just liked this side for the extra details of the cross supports and exposed rusty nails.
Four different hooks later, its looking eclectically cool already.
The fact that I didnt stock four identical hooks just gave this piece a ton of added character.
The gate towel holder is an absolute hit! Best of all, when poolside towels are no longer needed, this unit can slip indoors for another use. Bathroom, bedroom, beside an exterior door... or, just remove the hooks and you have your gate back to make... by golly, some jolly good NEW junk!

Desiring to come up with something temporary for the poolside towels, an old gate simply leaning against the side of the house with added hooks proved to be the winning solution! Way too simple but oh so productive. And cool lookin' to boot.
