Picket fence tablerunner idea

These very large pickets fit really well on my kitchen island.
The pickets create a nice place for food prep to land as well. Even hot things!
Smaller pickets can work well as well if your table area is smaller. I created these out of old palette wood. Sanded the wood down, cut to shape on the tips, paint and call it done.
The pickets add tons of old tyme character to a tablesetting.

Here's a tablerunner idea for true junkers.

My island in the kitchen happens to be cool metal, however being on a rampage to brighten things up, this recaptured picket tablerunner idea fit the bill nicely.

Pickets, cleaned up, create a fun focal point and add brightness to your tabletop.

To see how they tie in with the rest of the surrounding area, visit HERE for the original post.

To anyone with picket fences... I hope you have a guarddog on duty. :)
