What to do with a window that came out of my MIL house after she replaced them with more efficent windows. Her house was built in 1930 and yes that is real LEAD paned windows.............well you go to the local glass store have a piece of mirror cut and have a husband that is willing to help. I put Kilz on the bare wood then put 2 coats of glossy exterior paint on the window.....

As far as the mirror, I went to a local glass shop and it didn't cost me that much. At least I kept the money in the community. Thanks again. Posted: 8:21 pm on July 14th

RedheadedWahine writes: I love what you did to the window. These type of windows are so beautiful just the way they are, I would hate to do anything in fear it might ruin it. But what you did just accents it's beauty. Really nice job! Posted: 4:34 am on July 13th
junkermidge writes: Gorgeous window! And it looks awesome converted into mirror! Great addition to your outdoors area. If you have a spare mirror laying around maybe next time your husband (or even you!) could give a try to cutting it yourself -- you might be able to save a little money, and if it doesn't work, the scraps are good for more cool projects.
