FRIEND'S FIREPIT
July 7th, 2010 in member junk
I have a special group of friends that I taught with in a very small school for several years, but now we are all scattered throughout our large school system. For the last several summers, as some have started to retire, we have started getting together for lunch or supper to catch up on each others lives. Hopefully, we are starting a tradition that will continue for many more summers.
This summer we ate outside by a pool in view of rolling pastures and wide open spaces. We ate under a covered porch, rocking in rocking chairs, cooled by a constant breeze. This firepit was not used on that day, of course, but I was very taken with it. I am probably the only one who truly was excited about the work and creativity that went into this piece. I love it!
