Auction price $1.00.  Poor thing needed rescued. No one wanted it!
Talk about an uloved piece of furniture. This was on the auction and a cheap sad piece for sure.  the sides are almost as thin as a cracker box,  all the rails and stiles are loose.  some of the drawers had missing pieces.  e knobs probably cost more new than this did.  LOL I Think Im rebuilding.  Like the Bionic man.  LOL!  People looked at me funny for $4.00
What fun to be had. This whole pile of hope was less than $13.00.  I have to start building.  A piano bench, cabinet, chair, plant stand and an old rusty trunk.  Not shown were 2 chests, A tv stand, carved oak piece, Its in the attic waiting its turn.  I need to keep a list now!! LOL
I pondered this one for a week and went back and it was still there.  After looking closer I noticed it wasnt built with modern screw   It was made with rivits and the nails had am x on them that I have seen a long time ago. The bottom was olive drab.  I looked up footlockers on the web.  This one was only built in 1943 for the army by the dal-tex screen % cabinet company.  Caleb wasnt the soldier!  LOL
Fitting room paddles.  They look so cool.

to stay busy for awhile. But yes, the finding is a big part of the fun. Way to go!
