The focal was once something just found in a shop in Minneapolis waiting for someone to give it a new life.
A lot of individual elements are what make this necklace unique and totally a one-of-a-kind design.
A few elements close-up that Ive chosen for this design.
A theme at the shop I sell at for this months occasional sale is A Garden Party, so I am busy creating designs that reflect this theme.
The lovely bluish semi-prcious hand wire wrapped gemstone is a Peruvian opal and they were used through out this necklace design.
This is a sterling silver star fish which I added to the design to pick up some more of the silver color of the focal.
This photo shows a mix of vintage and semi-precious gemstones that make up the chain portion of this design.  Note each bead is hand wire wrapped which is a painstakingly long and tedious task.
Some of the details of the wire wrapped flower cluster dangles as well as other features.
The entire necklace.
This photo illustrates just where this necklace design might fall on the average lady while wearing it.  An important thing to relay to ones potential customers.
Love the way this mannequin merchandises my jewelry, and the tag says it all. Life is too short to wear department store jewelry.

Many of you know that I am a jewelry designer that recreates with vintage, semi precious gemstones, and found elements to create unique and one-of-a-kind designs.  I had a great time selling at the recent AA/JMS event sponsored by this site, as well as off my blog and through a local occasional sale store here in Minnesota.  Our occasional sale store sets monthly themes for the 4 day sales, and this month of June it is "A Garden Party", so I've created jewelry pieces to go with that theme.  This particular necklace is an example of taking an inspiration element and than creating a fun piece one element at a time.

I'd love to hear what you think, so would love it if you'd leave a comment.  Thanks!

I adore this piece. I love how well you match the pink and blue flowers and the other stones and love the crystal ones, too. and the big one that looks like a belt buckle with the bling. I just really like the length, as well. Goes good with the garden theme!
