Use for quilt tops

After 50 years of being packed away, I decided to put two quilt tops my Mother never finished to good use.  The patchwork wool is now my winter drapes, and the feed bag squares made a perfect country shower curtain. I simply cut a worn flat sheet to back the wool and after sewing in an envelope style, turned them inside out and tacked a rod pocket in the top.  The shower curtain was transformed because I throw very little away, at least for several months, and I had bought a fabric shower curtain to use for its color and pattern in another project and kept the ring strip from the top.  After stitching the quilt top to fit, the ring strip was added to the top and hung. I enjoy being able to appreciate my Mother's sewing skills on a daily basis after all these years.
