Door Buffet

I designed this buffet and my brother helped me put it together. I wanted a built in buffet but also add some architecture to my dining room and because we have oil heat I could not have a regular buffet or it would block the heat. I was of course inspired by one of Sue's books and came up with this door buffet idea. I found this door at the local Restore and thought it would work the best for this design because it is one large panel. The bottom shelf is a regular laminated closet shelf you can purchase at menards and we added korbels and brackets under the bottom shelf. a 1x5" piece of wood is  on top with moulding added. You can't see but there are tiny l brackets on top to help support the weight of the door on the wall.   I plan on capping in my fireplace nest to the dining room with old doors as well. I will make sure to post before and after photos when I get to that project.
