I made this herb garden for my Mom for Mother's Day...It is an old maple sap bucket that I podged a herb theme napkin on the front and spray painted the back to match. I filled the bottom with some empty water bottles so you don't need a whole bunch of soil and drilled drainage holes...planted chives, thyme, basil and parsley and added a vintage tag taped to a stick and added Happy Mother's Day on the back. After the herbs are done, come this fall, she can use the bucket for a waste basket or re-use it next year. The last picture is of a metal bucket that someone else painted (lucky me!) drilled some drainage holes and planted some perennials that do well all Summer in container's.
