Well, I found a use for that old wooden spindle that I found this past Wed. I painted it yellow first, and then distressed it, and then went over it with a coat of white paint and distressed it again to give it a weathered look. I found the little dish at the local thrift shop and used lots of gooey super-glue to affix it to the top of the spindle.
Now, all I have to do is fill it with some bird seed.
I also found this old enameled pot on Wed. I love vintage kitchen stuff, but the pot was too rusted to use for food. My boyfriend suggested filling it with birdseed, and so I nestled it into a large bush outside my front window.
It didnt take long for the birdies to find it!
