Trunk bottom book case.

Trunk bottom book case.

I have a thing for old trunks.  Who doesn't?  They're usually smelly and the paper is often falling apart.  Sometimes the hinges are broken and they don't open and close properly.  My solution is to just take them apart.  After a good vacuuming to get rid of the loose paper, decoupage what's left of the inside and wax the cleaned outside.  Then just add a couple of shelves and then you can either set it on a table or use interlocking brackets like they use to hang things like medicine cabinets and headboards which can be found at a hardware store and you can mount it on a wall without worry.
