A handsome trio of planters ala...
Industrial parts boxes. Pretty cool....dont you think?!
You know what I believe. Its all in the details and these babies have a lot to talk about. From the graphics....
To the handles...
To the inside...The boxes come complete with inventory cards. Im pretty sure the list does not mention plants.
To the great latches!
I set these little beauties are all atop a rusty old grate for added charm.
Each box is a different size and color. I think they make for wonderful playmates.
The plants spilling over the edges of the industrial boxes are, well shall we say...ooo, la, la?
All planted up and ready to go. One last hurrah!!

This was love at first site. I think you know what I mean...sometimes junk talks to you. These are industrial parts boxes and as far as I'm concerned...way too cool for school! Today I made them into planters, but the possibilities for re-purpose here are endless!

Did you make this?
After you make it, show it off to other members in the Member Junk area.

paxnovus writes: very cool and interesting!! What about using older comp parts...this could be really hard core industrial ala comp geek and only for few-- using old desktops, printers etc...anything with a hollow indie to fill with soil and greenery.... Posted: 1:37 pm on April 19th

shabbychick writes: Sue,

Those boxes are so COOL (word of the day) - perfect rustiness factor! I love them as planters, and can't wait to see what else you do with them - maybe a centerpiece with some candles (I know you like using candles...) - or in the bathroom to hold/hide an extra roll of tp - ha ha!

You're having just a bit of fun playing with "new" toys, aren't you??
