I flipped over a Christmas tree stand -- literally!

I flipped it over, rubbed some of the rust and gunk off with a wire brush and sprayed a couple of coats of polyurethane on it.  Ill probably use it with a plate charger for parties down the road as well.

I found this old Christmas tree stand awhile back and loved the rust and patina on it.  I wasn't sure what I was going to do with it but I knew I wasn't going to use it as a Christmas tree stand.  When I saw a posting of Sue's a few days back of something she made with a similar looking disc, I flipped over my tree stand, and realized viola that I should use the underneath of the stand to be the top and not the top of the stand.  I was looking at the wrong side for inspiration (my life story).
