Project #1 - chalkboard.
Kenda sent me a bag full, so I thought I better get busy and come up with a little something...and I guess I did!
A side of an old drawer.  Ive used a few of these before, and I think this is my last one...  So, now Ill have to scour curbside for more!
I used my trusty can of chalkboard paint, and its ready for a little embellishment!  I wasnt sure how to glue the caps on without making a mess, so I decided to put some screws in - and left them sticking up just enough to touch the cap, and Gorilla Glue epoxy set them in place - nice and neat!
Ive had this old bottle opener for a long time - and it was really wanting to have a purpose in life...
So, after many years of popping off bottle caps - its time to relax...
And, I had to put a little something on the other side to balance it out.  So, I used a little drawer pull (upside down), and an old salt shaker bottle fit perfectly - woo hoo.  I bent a few caps to put inside the bottle, and then made a couple button flowers and added bottlecaps - just because!
OK - heres project #2 - I filled a paperweight - and I love how they look under glass!
Up close...feeling a little thirsty??
Project #3 - This was super easy too - bottlecaps, magnets and a spot o glue - finished!!!
Time to move on to my next project...
And, finally...(and because I always feel like I need to use my full twelve photos - ha ha)...
While I was working, I tried to find an old Coca Cola ad to go along with my project (so I dug into my stash of old magazines) - all I came up with was the competitors ad - Pepsi please!!!  (What a fun old ad - knee socks, ha ha!)

Project #1 - chalkboard.

Coca Cola bottlecaps...a whole bag of 'em...hmmm...what to make?  what to make?  Well, after a little digging in my basement - it all started coming together - and quickly turned into three projects!

A chalkboard, paperweight and some magnets - oh my!!  Things (and junk) definitely go better with Coca Cola!

Thanks again, Kenda - you picked out some fun "junk"!

Janis - Kenda is a sweetheart - and has great taste in junk too!!

I think the chalkboard will be a gift for a friend of mine who collects Coke stuff - it's a surprise, unless she reads this post - haha!

RustyDiva writes: Awesome job with the bottle caps. Would you believe I STILL have a box full!? Love all the projects you came up with!

Here's some history ~ my sister has a coke machine that still stocks the old glass bottles. These caps came off those bottles. She said they are getting harder to get and have to be ordered through Coca Cola.

Lovin it and can't wait to see what else you create!
