I had been wanting to try a mosaic for a while now, but I lacked the time, inspiration and materials. Finally, I decided to just go for it and see what happened.

The wooden frame came to me in my Junk Swap package from Gloria. It was actually a frame for a child's puzzle that used wooden blocks. Since it had a raised edge, I decided it would be perfect for my first attempt as a mosaic. I had these old dishes with asian designs on them, and one had a big crack so I figured it wouldn't matter if I broke them up even more.

I think it turned out OK for my first try.
