My new junker swap friend, Carla, sent this package to me.  Isnt this so cool?!  She used the suitcase for packaging up the junk she sent and then used a BC map to wrap around the suitcase.  I LOVE it!
This is how it looked upon opening the suitcase...FULL of carefully wrapped junkin fun and a sweet note from Carla!
This was junkers heaven...all the things that I love...mannequin hand, vintage lace, film canister & reel, bingo card & tokens, wood ruler, outdoor faucet and...
wooden spool of thread, mini salt shakers, mahjong tiles, sparkly ceramic orbs, ceramic covered trinket holder, brass No.5, wire basket (underneath it all), weathered 3 part picture frame, shoe stretcher, sea shells, cut glass bottle stopper, flower medallion and...
a large rusty key w/tassel, lace doily, flashcards, check tickets, wood spindles, chinese take out box w/domino & rummikub game pieces, wooden stamp w/silverware imprint, pink chandy crystals, strand of crystals, metal scoop, and a fabulous songbook cover...Im Forever Blowing Bubbles  that may have to get framed and put in my laundry room!

Carla, aka, "busymelifera" was my noteworthy junk swap partner.  We discovered that we had a fondness for many of the same things: gameboards & pieces, wood, hardware, sheet music/books and anything with letters or numbers.  We each had our favorite contributors that were pretty much the same ones.

As you can see, Carla has a talent for putting together an award winning package, down to the detail of the map wrapped suitcase which I adore.  Note her artistic handwriting on the label too.  A true junk artist!

Life has been busy, stressful, and full for both of us...so we're late in hitting the deadline of March 31st...but it looks as if we weren't the only ones with busy lives!

THANK YOU Carla...your the BESTest partner a junker could ever ask for!  You went way over the top and i feel honored that you took the time to do this for me.

And THANK YOU Sue for pulling this incredible task together so we junkers could have some fun!

RustyDiva writes: Oh my ~ I see soooooo much that I love too! That hand is AWESOME. Very cool packaging. I didn't know you could ship things in a suitcase. I thought they just accepted ugly brown or white boxes. Great score Judy ~ congrats and can't wait to see your projects start rolling in. :)
