Its like Kathy could read my mind!  Look at all the beautiful junk!  The only thing not pictured is the box of yummy chocolate she sent from the Squirrels Den in Mansfield OH.  It was the first project I dove into and darn it ~ forgot to get pics.  Love love love my name in Scrabble letters!!
This metal file rack has been waiting in the wings for the perfect accessories to arrive.  When I opened my package ~ I knew just what to do with some of it.  The file was originally orange and I had no idea what I would do with it but had to have it!  As soon as another lady in the thrift store commented on how cool it was, I clutched it tight to my chest and ran for the cash register, throwing a thank you over my shoulder.(as if I had anything to do with it being cool)  I wanted it even more now that someone else noticed its coolness.
I took old wallpaper, trim from a calendar, photocopies of pictures, mod podge of course and the clock faces I received from Kathy and put it all together on each bin.  I added a little extra zing to the center of each clock face and then lined the inside with plastic so there are no messes when I water my wee little plants.  Plopped it on the wall and now have a vertical planter for my office.
The top bin has a Frenchie theme with some Italian mixed in.  I love the paperweight heart in the middle of the creamy clock face.  Yay Gorilla Glue!!!!!!!
The middle bin is a map of Italy with photo copied pics of an Italian immigrant with her children and a list of how to count to five in Italian.  The clock is square with a small round mirror glued to the middle.  On top of the mirror is a silver pendent that says Destiny.  (I was out of picture room ~ sorry).  This pic is the last bin with some inspirational wording and the beautiful black clock face with a green jewel added to the middle.

I had the distinct pleasure of being paired with Kathy Stantz, aka shabbychick, for the JMS junk swap.  I was so pleased to find out she was picked just for me!  Kathy is just as sweet, kind, funny and energetic as she appears to be on her posts.  I was drawn to her shabby style and wonderful energy the first moment I checked out the JMS website and love that I got the opportunity to know her a little better.  I tried to get her to bottle that energy and send me some in my package but alas, it's in her genes and can't be duplicated!  I found out that we both named our kiddos after T.V. characters.  ha  I was so excited to get my treasures from her and literally squeeled when I opened each one.  I was secretly hoping I would get some clock stuff, after all, we all know she has EVERY CLOCK EVER MADE! haha  I also love that she included Gorilla Glue which got me started right away.  I just can't single out one object that is a fave because I love it all!!!!!!  She even included chocolate which was gone about a mil-a-second after I opened my box!  Thank you Kathy ~ for inspiration ~ for laughter ~ for junk and now for a new friendship!!!!  Excuse the lack of planting in my planter ~ the nursery says it will be another 2 weeks before they get their shipment of "office friendly" plants.  I couldn't wait that long to post!
