Bench from a bedframe

Bench from a bedframe

Hi everyone!  This being my first post....I figured I'd start with one of my favorite projects.

Being an avid curbshopper I couldn't pass this find up.  About 4 yrs ago my husband and I picked up this heavy old headboard and footboard along the road the day before garbage pick-up.  It took us awhile to figure out what we wanted to do with it but finally got the idea from an online website to turn it into a garden bench.  It was fairly easy to do....we just cut the footboard in half to make the 'arms' and used the side rails as the bench's seat.  It's a great addition to my garden and one of my favorite places to sit.
