shabby chic picture frame

This isn't really the greatest photo- the glare from the lights and camera splotch it up, but I wanted to show my latest creation.

I found this beautifyl shabby, wooden frame (say it with me!) at the auction (you knew that was coming, didn't you?) a while back. It had no glass in it- just the wooden frame with the wonderfully shabby white paint job.

I kept it for over a month in my spare room until I got inspired. I found this poster that I had bought at Dollar Tree many months ago. It's pink roses with the word 'floribunda' written at the top. The poster was originally larger, but I thought it went perfectly with frame so I cut it down to fit.

Then, I simply took the glass out of another picture frame I had (that frame was just an ugly, chinsy one) and voila! something new to hang in my living room. I already had all the materials, I just needed to put them together.

RustyDiva writes: You must be christened the "auctiondiva". LOL You did very well once again. Love how you pulled everything together. The frame is gorgeous and the picture is perfect for it. (I've had that same glare problem and if you stand a little to the side and take your picture at an angle then it seems to take care of the glare and the flash.) I love your posts ~ keem em coming!
