altered antique bottles and charms

i got the idea from a bottle i got at a flea market years ago. it was covered with plastic crackerjack toys and then sprayed gold. so i took some of the old bottles i've had for a while, and dug into the broken jewelry jar. and of course there are some lovely old milagros from mexico. may i just say a big thank you, to whoever the smarty pants is, that invented gorilla glue. it allows all us obsessive crafters to make our ideas come true.

when i picked up your magazine with the dvd in it I thought we were twins too! except your abode is far more "ella-gantay!" mine is more "cabin junque-y".
i am pretty excited as i just figured out how to get to these comments(duh!)...here i thought nobody was enjoying my stuff. i am going to answer every single one of them.
"that remnants of the past show" looks so good....

"junkmarket style" is helping me get through this long winter!

RanchDressing writes: Fun stuff! I have collected bottles and old jewelry since I was a teenager and somehow the idea of mixing the two had completely escaped me. They are really beautiful. Posted: 11:08 am on March 3rd

Legacyoflovecrafter writes: Really cool idea. I love playing with bottles. I have just posted a Birthday Bottle Baby I made for my niece as a gift for her birthday. (Actually gave to her tonight). Check it out when you get a minute everyone and let me know what you think.

I love the look of yours here, real old timey elegence. I need to try my own sometime, looks fun!

God Bless

Thanks for sharing.

suewhitney writes: The member feature of the week goes to Suelovesjunk...are you my twin? As I said in my earlier comment, this looks like something fun to do with a group of friends. I love ideas that bring people together for an evening of creativity, friendship, and fun. So get your pals together, come up with an easy, but elegant idea, and get creative! Thanks for the fun idea, Suelovesjunk.

Take care,
Sue
