An Elephant Never Forgets...His Keys

I know in the past that there have been many posts with flat graters- even a friendly competition!  But for me, I love using these as great little industrial looking canvases for art assemblages and useful items!  I look for unusual graters, that you don't see all the time- look at the great round grater, I can't wait to use that one!  I gather up fun junk pieces and get busy.  I had a cute old metal elephant head and was inspired to use it on a key rack- I also used vintage coat hooks and letters.  Also pictured is a "LOOK" message board using an old advertising clip and vintage letters, and an art assemblage using clock parts and game letters.  I love the way magnets stick also!  You can be inspired by what you have on hand!

Christina_S writes: Very cool functional re-purposes! I especially love your grater key holder.

I picked up one of those things you used for the Look message board at a thrift store the other day with the intent to use it for a project. Do you happen to know what that "thingy" is called? The lady at the checkout asked me and I realized I had no clue :) Posted: 10:22 pm on February 9th
