My Treasures

Two chairs I trash-picked about 25 years ago. My mom had them reupholstered for my birthday shortly after. The bottoms need to be redone as the springs have broken loose!
My grandparents lived on a farm and butchered their own meat. My mom and dad made this bench for them from one of their butcher blocks when they "retired" that part of their farming. My mom inherited it when they passed away, and she gave it to me when she sold her house and was minimizing. Guess refurb-ing is in my genes :-)
This card table came with the house. It's pretty flimsy for using as a table, but I think it looks great on the wall.
I lost these kitchen drawers as storage when we installed a dishwasher, so I painted them and hung them for shelving. Still working on the perfect displays.
The upper cabinet was made for me over 30 years ago - my mom worked with a high school kid who needed a final shop project. I have always loved it. I trash-picked the shelving that's under it, and had to top tiled to match the kitchen island.

Some of my favorite trash-to-treasures.
