These are off of an old treadle sewing machiene. With a little research I found out they it was built about 1860. I got them $10.00 at my local flea market.  My hubby and kidlettes all said Moms gonna make a table I bet, But I am thinking they would look super on a log mantle as lamps!!!!  What do you think?

junkermidge writes: Call me crazy...(" ")but looking at that first picture, it almost reminds me of a wine rack. On second look I don't think the holes are big enough. But maybe the same idea but holding rolled up towels. The second shot makes me think of the outline of a lady. Hmmm...Anyway, I like the lamp idea, too. I even like the table idea. They are great pieces for any project.

oldnews writes: Lamp, definitely, a table would be the most common choice, but I vote for something different! Go for the lamp! I'd have to do something with stained glass right now... I can see that in a window...I think I have an old sewing machine base in the shop...better go look! Can't wait to see what you come up with!! It's kinda like Christmas!!
