This is an old fan that was rusty and non working. (ok, I know I should have kept the rust but I have another one). I sprayed it black cause thats one of our colors. My husband cut out the fluer de lis and Louisiana out of wood. I spray painted them gold and glued them on. Mardi Gras beads are also glued on
I punched out fluer de lis from gold wrapping paper using my paper punch. I also punched out the words Who Dat. At the bottom is a cut out from the newspaper showing the trophy we won.

Ok, I'm taking a chance here that this post won't be deleted.  But be nice, it's our FIRST time to go to the super bowl. So the super bowl party will be extra special this year. I'm going to Texas to party with people I graduated with and haven't seen in 35 years. Since I'm still in Louisiana I'm bringing all the decorations, king cake and Saints T-shirts. I just had to throw in a little of my art work so here is the center piece for the table cause I'M A SAINTS FAN. I left the outer ring blank cause I'm going to take pictures at the party and clip them on  there. I have some miniature clothes pins I'm going to spray paint gold and black.  The sparkly scarf is one I crocheted to wear all week and to the party cause I'M A SAINTS FAN.

54girl writes: What a cute fan! Pretty brave putting it on this site!! Just kidding!! Their are a lot of Viking fans in North Dakota too, where I'm from. But my daughter is not one of them. She was rooting for the Saints all the way, so she would've loved this fan! Very clever!! Mary Posted: 1:03 pm on January 28th

suewhitney writes: Oh...you are aching for trouble....hahahahaha! Only kidding of course. I am however still trying to get over the crushing Viking loss. To make matters worse I'll be speaking in Indianapolis this weekend. Think I'll get picked on a little there? I had my outfit all ready to go and everything. I cut both a Vikings and a Colts t shirt in half and sewed them together. Guess that was a little premature. TeHe. See ...you gave me a chance to vent. Thank you! I love your fan...very creative and festive. I'm sure your friends will love it. Best of Luck to you and your Saints...have fun!!

Take Care,
Sue

And yes Alice, I keep telling myself over and over...it's only a game! Posted: 9:44 am on January 28th

The die hard Packer fans wish came true.
We got to see Brent beat the Vikings one more time...
Good Luck and be sure to turn the fan on at least once during the game. Posted: 12:03 am on January 28th

I'm visiting NO in February, after the SB and Mardi Gras...boy, that town will never get back to normal with all that's going on down there after winning the championship!
Great city and good luck ~ this Redskin fan will be rooting for you!

CottageElements writes: Okay, I have to give you credit. Your "fan" is very creative and you did a great job! Your friends will love it and it'll be the talk of the get-together. Unfortunately I'm from Minnesota and a die hard Viking fan, so I'm in a state of morning. Don't think it'll be easy watching the SB. It was a hard loss :( Your fan should have been purple and gold with horns. LOL! Sure would have been fun to go to the SB with Brett. Here's to next year (probably without #4).

Wait, Drew Brees went to Purdue....who should we cheer for?

Two great teams! It will make an awesome game! Great job on this and (cough, cough) good luck (cough, cough) in the SB! Posted: 9:27 pm on January 27th
