Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Its been really cold here in Minn-e-snow-ta!  Can you say 20 below???  So to warm us up, how about a little cocoa, ala-JUNKMARKET style?
We first started out with this cool vintage beverage rack.
But oh, those red letters just wont do!  So luckily me, I have a friend who whipped me up some metal signs to help me transform this rack to a Hot Chocolate one!  I used magnets to attach it, as to still preserve the original letters of the rack.
And how about some snow flakes to jazz it up a bit!
This ultra-large pyrex jar, possibly came from a lab.  Its perfect to hold the hot cocoa mix.  And it definiitely has that cool factor, dont ya think?
And a vintage scoop is the perfect serving utinsel!
I added this rusty (but polyd) grate with thick glass over it to hold the large jar as the wire made it uneven.  It gave it a grate effect!  Oops, my bad!
Love this old chocolate brown thermos!
And how about adding some water bottles?  I love how they look, and you may need some water to wash down that hot chocolate.
The completed rack.  Now all I need is the guests!  Anyone for an ice skating/sledding party?

Oh, man is it cold outside!!  Brrrr!  So how do you warm up on those chilly nights?  How about trying some hot chocolate served up with some great vintage flare!

junkermidge writes: Oh I just LOVE your display. It's warming me up just looking at it (of course, you would say it's already warm here -- we're in the positive single digits). That little stand is awesome and the way you've merchandised it is perfection. Way to go once again!

shabbychick writes: Lani - I love it all! What a great way to serve up the most perfect winter weather drink - you're style is amazing as always!!! AND, what a clever idea to put your temporary signs on with magnets!

We left "Snow-Hio" yesterday - (12 degrees when we left), and made it through NC before the storm (hope all is well, MB...) - doing some southern-style junking now!

Thanks for sharing! Kathy

P.S. I'll have my hot chocolate with marshmallows! :) Posted: 10:27 pm on January 29th

fellowjunker writes: So love this vintage cocoa station that you have created Lani!!! Our problem here is that it isn't cold enought!...what with the Olympics starting in less than 2 weeks we hardly have enough snow in the mountains for the events!!
Happy day!

It's so funny but I have a rack almost like that, that I got about a year ago in a antique store in Montana. Mine dosen't have the lettering on the racks but I have the White Rock Sprakling Beverages sign on top. Love how you put this it all togther!! Mary Posted: 7:14 pm on January 28th
