The mirror was long gone, but the wicker frame caught my eye and it was going to be a mosaic table top. But an Art and Culture class assignment had me searching for something to make a mandala out of...I had to stay true to my recycling reputation in class. So...the mirror frame, styrofoam, tissue paper and my online snowflake creations became my project. It was a hit! And eventually a glass top will go on top and it will become that table after all.
If you have never made snowflakes online you have missed a treat! It is a wonderful creative outlet and while there are some jokers on the site, there are some very nice folks also. It takes practice, but my face that I used here was created on a snowflake.
A closer look at the self portrait...can you tell my favorite color is lime green? But I guess my other post have given that away.

Project for wrapping up my masters, just before finishing thesis...create a self portrait Mandala...this is it! Right now it is hanging in work room, but it will soon be a table top with a glass piece added to the top.

This is an art project I had to create when I was getting my masters...I bought the wicker frame to make into a table, but the assignment inspired me to use the frame for it instead. I do mosaics, but this one is just Styrofoam, tissue paper and paint. Thanks for your sweet comments and enjoy exploring JMS.
