This if my favorite way to use this piece. Add a glass door knob for the top of the cloche and display a glass insulator. All served up on a pretty plate.
I went thrifting yesterday. Heres what I found.
Just add some funky votive cups, a crystal and vintage broach and a glass doorknob. The metal basket could be painted to suit your decor but sometimes easy-peasy and youre done is quite satisfactory.
My first thought for this piece was a candle holder but then, it seems like cloches are on everyones minds so . . . .
. . . . I flipped it to create a cloche to showcase an ornament. Just thread the ornament string through the existing hole in the metal piece, put the clasp of a vintage broach through the string and  . . . . another easy-peasy piece.

I always make time to "thrift" while I'm in the city. I don't usually have anything specific in mind  (just an on-going list for future projects) but go in to see whatever will catch my eye.
