Bent, this guy was birthed from a vintage spool, aluminum shoe form parts, lawnmower part, dried grasses, salad tosser, glass drawer pulls, wire, rusted sheet metal
The Jones Girls...encaustic collage on cradled panel that uses beeswax, diamond wire, nails, eggshells, rusty nut, old fiberglass strip from a pontoon boat and a handwritten letter.
Level...an abstract work of junk including 4x4 fence post, part of folding ruler, lamp parts, scrap wood, rusted wire, marble saki cup, 2 vintage wood levels, trophy topper, wood dowels, nuts & bolts, vintage casters.

I relish reclaiming junk parts of all sorts to combine and compliment one another into a final cohesive piece. Let me know what you think -- and don't hold back! -- the art junkie

Collageartist writes: You can see by my screen name that we have something in common. I have inherited lots of stuff that I use in my artwork. The main difference? I'm trying to remain basically two-dimensional (in my work, that is) and I use fabric...

I agree that your work should be in a gallery somewhere - but I don't want to call your work "cute". Most of it is better than that, I think.

Keep on keepin' on. Posted: 1:09 pm on January 19th
