Several years ago, my large extended family agreed all Christmas gifts must be garage sale, thrift store or home made. This is what my niece got this year.  My sister got the other one.  After the poinsettia dies down it can be snipped off. The boot is planted with assorted sedum and bulbs.

RustyDiva writes: Love the boot! I used one for a stocking a long time ago for an old boyfriend who has remained a friend over the years. He still puts his out every Christmas. It's the gift that keeps on giving! Posted: 12:46 pm on December 28th

They may just find a new past time or passion. I know some of my friends would love the idea! Great post! Posted: 10:36 pm on December 27th
