I have craft store baubles and charms about the house and this seemed like a perfect time to dig into my stash. Do you believe?
I used a 12 inch industrial strength spring I picked up at a flea market, 2- two inch washers, 2 lamp finials, Rustoleum Hammered Finish spray paint, a paper tag, some craft paper, a "believe" charm, and of course some Gorilla Super Glue.
First I sprayed the washers and finials with the Rusoleum paint.
Then I applied Gorilla Super Glue to the bottom of the finials and placed over the holes of the washers.
Next, I applied Gorilla Super Glue to one end of the spring and attached the washer.
One end of the spring had a fitting so I attached the washer to the top of the fitting.
I glued a "believe" charm to a green glass bauble and hand wrote a tag. Santa likes the personal touch!
I measured and cut a piece of craft paper, rolled it up, and slipped it inside the spring.
After your child is done writing his or her letter, slip it inside the spring with some candy and put the top on for safe keeping.
Details, details, details!
After reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas", set this on the hearth with all of the other traditional goodies and go sleepy night-night!

This project took me right back to my childhood and made me want to write a thank you letter to Santa again, just like I used to do. Oh, that's right... I never stopped!! This year, start the tradition with your family. Slip your child's thank you letter to Santa Claus in a special cotainer made from junk. This, placed next to a warm glass of milk and a plate of homemade cookies, will make Santa feel like one special guy...or gal!!
P.S. If you don't have any kids about the house, this would also be a delightful hostess gift filled with Christmas candy!

You are the perfect person to host a chat with Gorilla Glue! In fact, you were the one that got me interested in using their products. Love it!
See you on Wednesday, and I hope to see other JMS members there as well!
