Here is a recent lamp project made from a very large dial caliper..antique copper heat lamp and the base is an old farm plow disc. It stands over 2' tall. The cord is only a temp as it will have a vintage copper tube that follows the curve of the caliper to hide the cord. Sorry for the not so stylish pics.
