A peek into our booth at the Scott Antique Market
December 6th, 2009 in blogWell, Terri and I survived another show... We weren't able to get into the building until almost 2:00 pm on Friday to set up. That gave us three hours to "git-r-done". We always bring more than we should (we never learn, and have realized it's a "team" effort...so we're both to blame...ha ha!) So, between selling clocks (to early shoppers) and setting up our space, we left at the end of the day feeling a bit on the "rushed" side (and had to de-stress by taking a stroll through the local Goodwill Store - I'm sure you understand...). Not everything was set, and we knew we'd be zooming first thing in the morning to finish up (oh well...that's the way it goes at fleamarkets and antique shows...). We did it though - (with a little help from our friends, Ellen & Minda...thanks ladies!!).
The show went well - our biggest seller were the clocks. I guess we shouldn't be surprised - with all that quantity, it just drew people in. It was fun watching their faces when they'd first notice it - and then hear them talk about having one when they were in college, or that their grandma had one, etc..... We sold a lot, and met a lot of great people too. I was able to meet a couple JUNKMARKET members and blog followers too - that's always fun!
We packed up on Sunday and headed home...another sale finished - now we can get ready for Christmas...
Our next show will be at the Scott Antique Market on January 23-24, 2010 (at the Ohio State Fairgrounds in Columbus, Ohio). (This will be round two for the clocks - set up is on Friday, and we'll be ready for the early shoppers this time!!)
Hope you enjoyed the pictures. Now, time for some Christmas decorating. I'm having a Christmas get-together with my girlfriends next Saturday - so, I've got some junk decorating to do (starting tonite!). Will share pics...

I made it to the sale @ Urban Mining (an occasional sale here in KC) this weekend and picked up a few treasures, so I should be good for a few more days. :-)
My dream vacations (The family want to go to WDW or a beach somewhere. Not me, I'd rather go junking):
MINNESOTA (of course) - We went last summer and I can't wait to go back for more junk!
and now, OHIO - Sign me up for the caravan!

Love your photos. This sale looks like it would be LOADS of fun (and profitable) for those selling their wares.
