I have no idea what this was originally, but the minute I saw it in a thrift store, it reminded me of a sunflower that has gone to seed
This one is a mold that looks better and better the more it rusts.
This WAS a cake pan...
Jello molds and a paint mixer beater have also found homes in my yard.
After Saturdays incredible wind storm, theyre still here!

Wind this weekend - 80mph gusts - pretty much did in any flowering plants I had left. Thank goodnes my junk flowers are totally unaffected!

shabbychick writes: Marie - I'm so glad you and your flowers survived the wind too! Yikes 80mph...it's hard to beat junk flowers for sturdiness (and they don't have to be watered)!!!

Love them all - and the fact that they just keep rusting to perfection - way cool! That paint mixer thing is fun - great saves and very fun art!!

junkermidge writes: Your flowers are adorable! And apparently whatever variety they are, they sure are hardy. That's some wind! We've kind of put away flowers for now and are thinking more about pine trees! Nice reminder that spring will be here before we know it -- now I'm on the lookout for flower "junk".

suewhitney writes: Ah hahaha! Thank goodness for junk flowers that can stand up to any kind of weather. Love everything you have done here, but that unidentified piece of junk in picture # 1 is way too cool for school. You go girl!

Take care,
