These cabinet door samples were being discarded and I asked to have a couple of them. Initially wood stained, I lightly sanded them and then painted them an off white. Once dry I lightly sanded them again to distress the finish.
The baskets I made from left over wire fencing that I had in my workshop. The scrabble letters were used to spell out HOME. I used an old faucet nob to hang the basket from and then filled it with light catching garland. It can easily be changed from season to season to go with whatever holiday theme being celebrated.
Here is a view of it at night.
I also made one for a friend who has a cabin in the mountains where well be going next weekend. Cant go empty handed!
A close up shows that it is filled with Deodora Pine cones and embellished with ribbon, berries, and a silver bell. This one too can change with the seasons! Im hoping she likes it!

Sample cabinet door panels, some old wire, 2 old faucet nobs and some simple embellishments help make the front door a welcoming place to be!!
