This was the first version.

Our next Throw Back feature comes from Makinit Happen!  She originally posted this back in November of 2009.  Perfect post to highlight while we're headed to Nashville, Tennesee, the home of Country Music!

I took an old galvanized canteen and added a lamp kit, then put rubber feet on the bottom so it would stand up straight. I glued on a picture from a calendar and framed it with rawhide.  I already had the old vintage shade. After selling it, I'm having major seller's remorse. :)

Junkyard_Ballerina writes: Cowgirl up! *Love* this lamp! My California home decor is western cowboy, much of it old family stuff. Your "seller's remorse" is SO understandable...wish *I* was the lucky buyer. Hmm...I do have an old canteen in the garage, and a cowgirl lampshade purchased on eBay but never used. My canteen has fuzzy plaid fabric that will have to come off.

RustyDiva writes: GREAT lamp. Love the graphics you used on it! That's why I don't have a shop ~ I wouldn't want to sell anything. That's also why my house is so full!!!! Posted: 11:37 am on November 24th
JunkinLindsey writes: Absolutely fabulous. Love the shade. Good thinking, putting the image on the canteen itself. Posted: 11:03 am on November 24th

I think this is such a cool lamp and I feel your pain for having to part with it. I had to get over my seller remorse or you wouldn’t be able to walk in my house.
