I used this old sugar cannister to become the base for a Christmas tree. The copper colored lid matched nicely with some of the ornaments.
This is the completed tree. It is going in the shop, I really like it when it was finished, but I cant keep everything!
An old copper cookie cutter made a perfect angel tree topper!
A copper tree cookie cutter and a stainless steel/copper measuring cup were just the right touches for this tree.
Copper measuring spoons and stainless steel biscuit cutters were added to round out the decoration.

We have a Festival of Trees every year in our community. I collect things all year long to make interesting trees to donate to raise money for the charity—except this year they decided to not have the event. Soooooo, I decided to use the items I have been collecting to make some trees to put in the shop. This is the first one....

Would go well with this one. I am currently searching for an old whiskey barrel to use at the bottom of my big Xmas tree. I love unique bases and this one tops the list. Very cool!
