From peasant to Queen!
Just my size but not my style.
Love the new little pink glass knobs.
Now I have room for everything.  No more knocking the lamp off every time I reach for the snooze.

I have been in search of a larger nightstand but didn't want to pay the high price tag.  I found this little jewel at a thrift store for well in my price range but it just wasn't my style.  I removed the spindles in the middle of the doors and replaced with .59 cent mod podged scrapbook paper.  (In love with mod podge now!!!)  I also mod podged the top drawer and trimmed out the look with antique white. Still looking for the perfect handle for the drawer though.  Next I sanded down the cabinet and re-painted ~ are you ready~ Chocolate Indulgence.  There's also chocolate in the little jar on top for that midnight craving.  The size is perfect now and it's solid wood so it will last me a lifetime.

pofolksdecorator1 writes: Awesome bedside table make-over. Just like you and probably all of this on the site, we really see the beauty in what others think is junk. Mod poge is that like decopauge? I use liquid starch it works just like wallpaper, and when you are tired of the piece, it pulls right off. I have used it to adhere fabric to walls for wallpaper. Sheets on ebay are so much more quaint and cheaper too! Awesome job. Annie Posted: 7:12 pm on March 11th

Kenda - this is a wonderful transformation - great color, and good job with the Mod Podge (I love it too!).

Thanks for sharing and being a part of our junky little world! :)

monakent writes: Kenda, How did I miss this one??? The nightstand turned out SUPER and looks absolutely perfect in your bedroom, with the headboard, etc (that you had posted a while ago).

Modge Podge is one of the many products I have used over the years. I remember using it some 20+ years ago, when I first started making jewelry. Recently, I have started to use it once again with my collages.

Love your postings and comments!!! gailmarie Posted: 3:06 pm on January 2nd

This nightstand is a gorgeous transformation that RustyDiva did with a little paint and mod podge. A super re-do and it has inspired me to work on some larger furniture pieces in the new year!
Happy day!

I think the color is great and works with your scrapbook paper details. It really turned into a very cool nightstand.
