Consider Curtain Clothing

I had this label from when I used to sew a lot.
An added beaded detail.

My mom is gone now, but when I was going through her things, I found a pair of beautiful old cotton curtains. They didn't fit any of my windows, so I thought of making something out of them. The two panels were enough to make a simple jacket with patch pockets. I was so happy to have thought of a way to use Mother's old curtains.

MakinItHappen writes: Ha! Alice, I hadn't even thought of that. Reminds me of what Carol Burnett said in her Scarlett O'Hara curtain-dress scene, "This old thing? I saw it in the window and just couldn't resist getting it!" ;^} Posted: 9:45 am on November 22nd
