This is a project that I have wanted to do for a while now. I have a bunch of old felt pennants of various sizes. I pulled together enough of a similar size to make this Christmas Tree skirt. I used a buttonhole embroidery stitch to link the pennants together. I loved the bright colors and love the variety of interesting places depicted by the pennants. The only question is....what am I going to put on the tree to go with this?

Guess what I’m going to put under my pennant covered Christmas tree this year…more pennants! This is such an unbelievable idea. I’ve been collecting vintage post cards also so I can mix them in with the old pennant ornaments. I thought the most appropriate type would be the “Big Letter” style, which are the ones that ha...big letters and looks real touristy. What a great idea and thanks!
