First of all, I’ve missed you guys!
Many of you might know that I recently left my “day job” to focus on turning my art & design into a full-time thing. I’ve been a busy, busy bee hunting and gathering as well as putting things together for some upcoming shows. So, now I’m back with lots more to share and inspire!
Here’s one of my latest projects: vintage New York State and the Central Coast of CA. bus scrolls framed up with vintage cabinet door windows.
Some of you might remember my post awhile back when I found some vintage bus scrolls in a couple old busses – (and I am proud to say I took those beauties out myself!) and wondering how I was going to frame them up…
Enter some vintage cabinet door windows that came out of an old general store. With just some minor trimming the scrolls fit perfectly. They are about 30" across and one of our favorite parts was the look of the vintage glass. Classic!
We had them professionally framed and they were a huge hit at the last couple shows. We sold out of all 6 of them but we still have some of the graphics left so we’re on the hunt for other interesting “frames” which as you know you can make out of just about anything.
Here’s a detail shot of the cabinet door handle.

I knew what you were up to but I still want to say…Welcome back Jenny K. Hey, why is it that you find all the best, heaviest and rustiest junk in the world? I worked on a bus terminal years ago and the scrolls would have looked so cool on the walls in the waiting area.

Thank you all for the welcome backs and kudos on my project. It was a fun one! I kinda wish I saved one for us but am so glad they went to good homes. Each one of the purchasers told me where they were going to hang theirs, etc.
rockmom! So glad to see you on JMS. I was happy you got the Santa Barbara one - it was my favorite! :-)
Thanks again,
