Big self-aligning bearing that my Dad brought home for me: he works at a mine :)
One side of the leaf/sail design; sheet copper, brass, & stainless steel that I polished & textured with a grinder.
The other side of the leaf/sail.
Detail: love these cute little nuts & bolts :)
Another view; brass rivets on the gear shaft.

A cute sculpture created this spring; made from some old gears, a big bearing, brass, copper, stainless steel, & a few rivets & nuts & bolts.   The top portion spins freely on the base; for some added fun :)

This one is about 4 feet tall.
