Curbside score, now what?

These chairs were a "curbside rescue" from the other night.  Someone on my street ditched them and I couldn't just drive by.  Very sturdy little chippy wood chairs with many coats of paint.  They are different, one is a tad bit smaller than the other and is missing a piece.  I was going to paint them and use them for plant stands on my porch.  Any other ideas, since I am a newbie? Thanks

shabbychick writes: I love your curbside chairs just like they are - chippy paint is a good thing!! :) I have just a "few" little chairs around my house (one of my weaknesses...) - sitting up on a table or bench, or just sitting pretty here and there in a corner...and always holding a little something!

I like all the ideas, and one other - you could even hang them on the wall as a shelf... My girlfriend has one hanging on her fence and sits a plant on it.

Enjoy your finds!

Take care,

OldBarnRescue writes: I agree, leave them as they are. They can definitely be used in a corner somewhere as a table/book stand. Chairs like these can "cozy up" a corner almost anywhere with a very simple statement. I also like the plant stand or towel stand ideas. Can't really go wrong. Posted: 7:51 pm on October 29th

Welcome.
