This is the ice cream cone holder I posted a few weeks ago.  Just added a few old bottles to it, a flower and wa-la!

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!!!  This is an old ice cream cone holder I picked up at one of the Buffalo ocassional sales.  I didn't know what I would do with it, but knew it called to me.  I just added some old bottles and a flower.  How fun is that!

Cherwood writes: One trick we use to clean old bottles is denture cleaning tablets. Stick one in a bottle with warm water, shake and leave it over night. It gets fizzy and takes out the gunk.

Bottle cleaning is a tricky business. Really crusty bottles need to be tumbled professionally to get them back to mint condition. Most dug bottles are not worth this expense. If it has just a light white film there are products out there that may take it off, but they tend to be toxic.We'll do some digging (no pun intended) to see if we can find some earth friendy products. If it is mainly dirt on the inside try warm water and soap with rice or sand. Swirl the bottle around to loosen up debris.
